Dear Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ, We come to you in prayer for every one who willingly forsakes all and follows you. We ask that we receive the revelation of what must be done to fulfill this requirement for our lives. We pray that we begin today to rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is the reward. We ask in Jesus Holy Name. Amen and Amen.
We want to share with you a simple truth about what God has in store for those who love Him, and We pray that this Word washes over you and changes your life. Glory be to God who reveals His perfected will to us in Christ love, unity and equality.
Matthew 19:29 KJV
29 And every one that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundred fold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
First of all, it says in verse 29, everyone. Everyone means exactly that, everyone is eligible for the reward. Now that we have that straight.
Lets look at the word forsaken. Most of us perceive it in the context of the apostles who walked away leaving their nets, boats, coworkers, families, everything. They immediately abandoned all to follow Jesus not looking back. This is the apostles reward found in verse 28. But the reward I am talking about in verse 29 is for everyone.
We have looked up this word forsaken on more than one occasion but We looked it up again recently and this is what We found. It means: to renounce, or turn away from entirely. But We noticed this synonym: abandon, and We looked it up and this is what We discovered: To give up ones power or control.
We have come to day to tell you to let go and let God. We must put Gods laws into effect in our lives. We must relinquish all control over our husbands, wives, children, parents, houses, lands, money, color of the skin we're in and allow God to step in and perfect that which concerns us. All we must do is trust in Him Jesus Christ, saying the prayer of faith. Lord, We surrender all to you, not my will but yours be done.
What a great burden lifter. You are no longer responsible for the outcome, God is. Praise The Lord, worship Jesus Christ in Spirit and in Truth. Give it all to God in Christ Jesus, because He loves you so much.
The Gospels of Mark and Luke put it this way:
Mark 10:29-30 KJV
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Luke 18:29-30 KJV
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
He didn't say it would be easy. It comes with persecution and many times this persecution comes from those you love dearly, those you have placed in the hand of God. But let me tell you, His Word is Truth and the Truth shall set you free.
Let go and receive His reward. It is greater than winning the lottery, it is greater than winning the grand prize on any TV game show, it is greater than any reward you can imagine. It is a reward to be gained both now and throughout all eternity.
Just pray and if he wants you to do something, He will tell you, otherwise, quit trying to take control and allow God to do whatever He wants to do. Great is the reward.
