WHERE'S THE LOVE?
OUR GOD AND HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL FATHER IS LOVE IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
Shared By Apostle James Winfree Sr,
The Church & Nations Servant
In the Body Of Christ (Each Person) there seems to be a missing ingredient to coming into the fullness of our Christ Believers walk. Although we strive to great heights in the faith, there yet seems to be that little something that eludes us, that something that we know would bring us into the fullness of God’s power. We often petition God, asking Him to show us, or tell us, what is it that we are missing. We ask God, why aren't we in today’s Church exhibiting the mighty works that the early Church in the Book Of Acts readily walked in: To be blunt, most of us in the ministry and laity are seeking this answer, the missing ingredient to our Christ Believers faith.
It is my objective in this lesson to make sure that you completely understand how you can finally bridge the gap between, “I'm so close to heaven on earth that I can taste it, and literally walking in the power of God, as Christ ambassadors.” Many of us have tried various things to ascertain these heights in Jesus Christ, and it is time for us to understand that the greatest power of all is love. Many of us are probably saying, I know that!, but you don't. Had you known the power of love and applied it to your life, great works would be wrought at your hands. We have so underestimated the greatest power accessible to the Believers, that it has stunted our Christ Believers growth, as well as, the growth of the church at large. It was the power of Love that saved the World. John 3:16 says;
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever Believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
What a great tool we have at our disposal, but it cost to love. The cost of the power you seek, is as it is written in John 3:16, which is to give. Love gives. Often because of our desire to fulfill our wants and dreams we have done just the opposite of Love, we took. There is no power in taking, because it is selfish. There is great power in giving, for it exhibits great depths of Love in our spirit, and the Holy Spirit dwells in that kind of atmosphere.
What Is God's Love?
To understand love, we must first look at the characteristics of God, because 1 John 4:8 says;
“He that love Not know Not God; For God is love.”
We should be able to see love throughout the Bible, because it is God’s Word, and He is the embodiment of love. In actuality the Bible is God’s Love letter to the world.
I Corinthians 13:13 can give us better understanding of what love is, it reads;
“And now abide faith, hope, charity, these three, but the greatest of these is charity (Love).”
The King James Version translates the word Love from the Greek as charity. It should be noted that when we see the word charity it usually is referring to “Agape” God’s Love. In the dictionary the word charity means a benevolent goodwill toward, or love of humanity. It is important to see in I Corinthians 13:13 that love is greater than faith and hope. Yes, we are saved by grace through faith, and we also have blessed hope, but love is greater. Let’s look at I Corinthians 13:1-3, it reads;
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, and have Not charity (love), I am as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity (love), I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity (love), it profit me Nothing.”
These Scriptures show that All other things wane in the face of Love. Many people think that if they increase their faith that they would be a mighty warrior for the Lord, but unless they increase their love they will not increase their faith. I Corinthians 13:13 is not belittling moving in the gifts of the Spirit, or anything else, but it is showing us that everything we do must be done in true love, or else it will not have any eternal merit. When we get to heaven we will not be rewarded for our works, because without love, we will have done them for selfish reason. Everything must be done from the motives of God’s love.
Love Is Giving.
I Corinthians 13:4-8 says;
Love is totally emptying oneself of personal desires for the betterment of others and their needs, and desires. Love is a word that embodies giving.
The Grace Of Love
Matthew 22:37-40 says;
The New Commandment of love fulfills the Ten Commandments. If you truly love God and your fellow man you will not break any of the Ten Commandments.
Romans 5:5 says;
“And hope make not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.”
This same love that is shed abroad in our hearts gives us the awesome ability to love the unlovable, and walk in love, even in what many people think are impossible situations. So many born again, Spirit filled Believers say they just can't love this one, or that one; but they can according to Romans 5:5. These Believers don't want to walk in the Love the Holy Ghost has given them the ability to walk in, and so they open the door to the enemy. There is absolutely no reason that all born again Believers can't love everyone, in every circumstance, no matter how severe and deeply wounded they may feel.
Not Loving Our Brothers And Sisters Means We Abide In Death.
I John 3:14-15 says;
“We know that we have passed form death to life, because we love the brethren. He that love not his brother( or sister ) abide in death.
Whosoever hate his brother ( or sister ) is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”
Faith Worker By Love
Galatians 5:6 says;
“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avail anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worker by love.”
Our level of faith will most definitely be determined by our level of love.
Love Is The Evidence Of Being A Christian.
John 13:34-35 says;
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.”
The world knows the difference between a true Believer, and one who professes that they are, by the genuine love that is exhibited from us, who are in Christ. Jesus said that all men would know we are His disciples, not because we belong to this Church, or that organization, but rather by the love we have one for another.
Love Is The Entranceway To Power and Blessings.
We cannot access the power and presence of God if we don't walk in love, because lack of love is sin. Whenever we break the commandments of God its sin, and love is the ultimate commandment.
When we don't walk in love, we walk outside of God’s covenant, and those promises, or blessings that come with walking in covenant with Him, are null and void in our lives. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 says; .”
Many illnesses and sickness could be avoided, or healed by walking in love. Financial problems in our lives can be resolved by walking in love. Spiritual Gifts can be manifested in our lives when we walk in love. Heavens riches, and treasures are lying in wait, to be bestowed on those who walk through the doorway of love. God’s work is a love work, we as ambassadors for God, can only access our authority when we walk in love, and do everything out of love, following the example of our heavenly Father. We hinder ourselves if we don't walk in love.
I John 3:22-23
It is very clear that love is the very power behind accessing God’s promises. It was the love of our Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and a love for the people, that gave His faith the fuel to perform such great miracles. He loved much, and so should we, if we would desire true revival in the Lord.
We must remember, the Holy Spirit moves in an atmosphere of love, for God is love. When your heart is filled with love, you welcome the move of God in your life, and you will find yourself in a much deeper relationship with God, for walking in the Love commandment opens the doorway to God, and closes it to the Devil.
Jesus was sent to love, and because He walked in the love covenant, He had access to the Power of Heaven, and so will you, when you walk in love.
Acts Of Love
Stephen (Acts 6:5-6 & 6:59-60)
Forgiveness
In the Scriptures below, Jesus explains to us, that if we don't forgive, then we will not be forgiven.
Mark 11:25-26 says;
Jesus also tells us in the Lord’s Prayer (Matt. 6:12), that we should ask God to forgive us our debts, as we forgive others theirs.
It is of utmost importance to understand, that if God does not forgive us our trespasses, or sins, then we will go to Hell. Romans 6:23 says;
“For the wages of sin is death;…..”
If God does not forgive us, then we must pay for the wages of our sin, through death (Eternal separation from God in Hell). Many Christians are probably in Hell, because they have not understood this basic Christian principle.
Matthew 6:14-15 says;
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
