 Ministers, Do You Know Your Ministry Assignment, In The Body Of Christ?

God's Kingdom In Christ Jesus, Renowned Apostle James R, Winfree, Sr, I Am Mandated By The Lord To Cultivate, Enlighten, and Empower, God's Nations Son's And Daughters In His Love. Know this, I'm Not in the Work or Ministry For Any Income, But I am in God's Work and Ministry to hear Him say, Well Done, this is the Income We are looking to receive.

Matthew 20:28

just as The Son of Man did not come to be served, But To Serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

All-knowing, and,- knowledgeable, Holy Spirit You Are Our Master Teacher, and right now we do need You to Teach us, In Jesus' Name. Amen.

In the Word, the truth of the five-fold ministry comes from Ephesians 4:11, "It was God who gave some to be (1) Apostles, some to be (2) Prophets, some to be (3) Evangelists, and some to be (4) Pastors and (5) Teachers." Ephesians 4:12-13 tells us that the purpose of the five-fold ministry is, "to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." So, since the body of Christ is not built up to unity in the faith and has not attained the whole measure of the fullness of Christ, the thinking goes, that the offices of apostles and prophets must still be in effect. Now you can read here that God our One and only Heavenly Father Himself appointed these Ministry Gifts in His Churches, Apostle Paul wrote here,

1 Corinthians 12:28

And God has appointed these in the Church: first Apostles, second Prophets, third Teachers, after that Miracles, then Gifts of Healing, Helps, Administrations, Varieties of Tongues.

However, Ephesians 2:20 informs us that the Church is "Built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as The Chief Cornerstone." the Apostles and Prophets are the foundation of the Church, and we still building the Body of the Lord Jesus Christ! Although Jesus Christ is most definitely active in His Church today, His role as The Cornerstone of the Church was completed with His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. If the work of Christ's Unity and plan is, completed then there would be no need for Ministers, and so must the work of the Apostles and Prophets, along with many other Ministry Gifts continue, to be complete in Christ Churches.

What was the role of the Apostles and Prophets and the other Ministry Gifts? they were to proclaim God’s revelation, to teach the new truth the Church would need to grow and thrive. The Apostles and Prophets and God's Ministry Team must complete this mission. How? By giving us the Word of God. The Word of God is the completed revelation of God. The Bible contains everything the Churches need to know to grow, thrive, and fulfill God’s mission ( 2 Timothy 3:15-17 ). The cornerstone work of the Apostles and Prophets and God's other Ministry Team is Not complete. The ongoing work of the Apostles and Prophets, Ministers is manifested in the Holy Spirit speaking through and teaching us God’s Word. In that sense, the five-fold ministry is still active my loving Brother and Sisters in the faith. Amen.
