THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SAID HE ALONE WILL BUILD AND ESTABLISH HIS CHURCH:
T The Lord God has authorized me to cultivate, enlighten, and empower the sons and daughters of Jesus Christ through His love and grace. Please understand that I am not in ministry to solicit funds; however, I am seeking financial supporters to help sustain this work. My purpose is to serve Christ faithfully so that I may one day hear Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." This is the eternal reward we strive for. Glory to God in Jesus Christ.
The First Word view, Jesus Christ Is The Only Builder & Founder Of His Church:
Jesus Christ’s words in Matthew 16:18 are the focus of an ongoing debate over who is the builder and founder of the Church?” is what Jesus mentions. The immediate context contains a question Jesus asked His disciples: “Who do you say I am?” Matt 16:12-14,
12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees. ( In our day, the religious Preachers and Leaders of religions and denominations:
Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ
13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the Prophets.”
Peter's view: the Lord Jesus Christ;
Matthew 16:16
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
Jesus Christ said Himself alone,
Matthew 16:18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this Rock I will build My Church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
The word view is that Jesus was declaring that He Himself ( singular ) would be the “Church” on which He would build His church on that Rock, and the Rock is Himself. Jesus appears not to be using a play on words. “You are Peter ( petros ) and on this rock [petra] I will build my Church.” Since Peter’s name means “rock” and Jesus is going to build His Church on a rock, it appears that Christ intends to link Peter to the Church's teaching and preaching. God indeed used Peter greatly in the Church's preaching. It was Peter who first proclaimed the gospel on the day of Pentecost ( Acts 2:14–47 ). Peter was also the first to take the gospel to the Gentiles ( Acts 10:1–48 ). In a sense, Peter was the human small rock or stone “He used on the day of Pentecost” of the beginning of the Church.
Second Word view: Jesus' statement ( I ) Meaning A Singular Pronoun:
Another biblical truth interpretation is that the Rock that Jesus Christ was referring to was Himself, His statement in Matthew 16:16
1 Corinthians 10:4
And all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
Third Word view: the Church :
Jesus Christ had explicitly taught the disciples the fullness of His identity, and so it was God who had sovereignty opened Peter’s eyes to that revelation. Jesus marks the source of that truth in Matthew 16:17. Peter’s confession of Jesus as the Messiah and Son of God poured forth from him as a heartfelt declaration of personal faith. Since personal faith in Christ is the hallmark of the true Jesus Royal Believers Way Saints, those who place their faith in Christ, as Peter did, are the church. Peter, writing to believers dispersed through the ancient world, likens them to stones used to build the church: “As you come to Him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to Him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy royal priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:4–5). The faith of believers is what makes them “living stones.
Matthew 17:5
While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” ( Not them! )
Acts 2:47
Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the Church daily those who were being saved. ( The Lord added, Meaning Personal Pronoun:).
Fourth Word view:
After Jesus Christ declares that God the Father had revealed the truth to Peter, He says, “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church” (Matthew 16:18). The word for “Peter,” Petros, is a masculine noun that means “a detached stone, a stone that might be thrown or easily moved” Matthew 7:24–25). The difference in the two terms may suggest that Jesus was contrasting Peter with Himself. That is, Jesus was saying, “You are the small rock, but I am the foundation of the Church.” This view finds support in other passages that present Christ, not Peter, as the foundation of the Church (1 Corinthians 3:11) and the life-giving rock (1 Corinthians 10:4).
Of course, the Apostles played a role in building up God's spiritual sons and daughters, His Church's body role in the building of the Church, but the role of primacy is reserved for Christ alone. So, Jesus’ words in Matthew 16:18 are best interpreted as a simple play on words: a boulder-like, foundational truth came from the mouth of one who was called a small stone.
Christ Himself is called The Only, “Chief Cornerstone and The Chief Apostle” (1 Peter 2:6–7) ( Matthew 21:42 ). The Chief Cornerstone of any building is that upon which a building is anchored. Jesus Christ declared Himself to be the Cornerstone; how could Peter be the rock upon which the Church was built, or religious men and women of our day? Believers are the living stones that make up the Church. They are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets (not on Peter or Preachers) and anchored to the Cornerstone ( Ephesians 2:20 ). “The one who trusts in Christ will never be put to shame” (1 Peter 2:6).
We Must Put His Name On His Churches, His Living Stones, God's Spirit-Filled Anointed Sons & Daughters:
Numbers 6:27
“So they shall put My Name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
Isaiah 62:2
The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You shall be called by A New Name, which the mouth of the Lord will name.
Is 9: 6-7,
6. For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His Name will be called.
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7. Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Zechariah 14:9
And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. On that day it shall be— “The Lord is One,” And His Name One.
Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
John 5:43
I have come in My Father’s Name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 4:12
Nor is there Salvation in any other, for there is No Other Name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Matthew 1:21
And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His Name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
God, our One and only heavenly Father, wants His spiritual sons and daughters, both Jews and Gentiles, and since my home is America, He also wants blacks and whites to enjoy the rich blessing of dwelling together in unity. He calls us to help and support one another (Philippians 4:14), share resources as we are able (Acts 2:44–45; 4:32;) ( Luke 3:11;) ( Romans 12:13; 15:27 ), worship and fellowship together ( Romans 15:5–6 ), pray for one another, and build each other up in the faith ( Acts 2:42; ) ( Hebrews 10:24–25; ) ( Galatians 6:6; ) ( 2 Corinthians 1:7; 13:11 ).
Above all, dwelling together in unity means loving one another deeply and sincerely ( John 15:12;) ( Romans 13:10;) ( Galatians 5:14; ) ( Colossians 2:2; ) (1 Thessalonians 4:9;) ( Ephesians 4:2;) ( Hebrews 13:1;) ( 1 Peter 1:22; 4:8; ) ( 1 John 3:23 ). Such unity among the Churches of God gives off a pleasing aroma that is attractive to unbelievers ( John 13:35; 17:21, 23;) ( 1 John 2:10; 3:14 ), but the stench of evil and wickedness of division destroys our witness in the world and drives unbelievers away (1 Corinthians 3:3–4; 6:1–6; 11:17–26; ) ( Romans 14:13–23; James 4:11–12). Amen.

1 John 4: 20-21
20. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brothers ( or sisters ), he or she is a liar; for he or she who does not love their brothers or sisters whom they have seen, how can they love God whom they have not seen? 21. And this commandment we have from Him: that he or she who loves God must love their brothers and sisters also. Church and all of God's Heaven-going, Spirit-filled sons and daughters. Amen.
