STAY FREE IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST:
Are Jesus Royal Believers Under The Old Covenant Or Testament?
We are not a religion or a denomination, and we do not support the construction of physical church buildings. Instead, our mission is to build up the body of our Lord God, Jesus Christ, through love, grace, and mercy. We are dedicated to aiding, helping, and supporting the members of the Jesus Christ Royal Believers Way Saints Global Fellowship Ministries Family as they carry out ministries that serve the body of Christ and His Kingdom.
We believe that being in the Church is more than simply attending services or holding membership. We are His living temples, and He manifests His works through us as we seek to meet the needs of the Saints first, and subsequently all others, in accordance with His divine will. This is the heart and mission of the Jesus Christ Royal Believers Way Saints Global Fellowship Ministries.
We don't go, attend, join, become a member of, or have a religious building. We are His living temples and Church, and He manifests His works through us in meeting the needs of His body, the Saints, first and then all others according to His will. This is what we are as Jesus Christ Royal Believers Way Saints Global Fellowship Ministries.
We are the Lord Jesus Christ's total body, with every member working together in love and unity, guided by the Holy Spirit and God's new and Better Way. In Matthew 5:16, Jesus says, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
The Jesus Royal Believer's Way: A saint's life is not meant to be lived in isolation but in fellowship with other Believers. For this reason, ( Hebrews 10:24–25 ) tells us to “consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” If we hope to grow spiritually and endure for the long haul, we need our brothers and sisters in Christ to encourage us.
Do Jesus Royal Believers have to obey the Old Testament Law? Does God expect New Covenant Jesus Christ Believers to submit themselves to the laws of the Old Covenant?
Recently I engaged in a brief dialogue with my middle son Jeremiah about keeping and obeying the Hebrew Commandments or the ten Commandments. It continues to amaze and dismay me how so many religious people can misunderstand the relationship between the Christ Believers and the Old Hebrew Covenant Laws and Commandments.
This was the first major doctrinal controversy the early Church Fellowship dealt with (See Acts 15). Almost an entire book of the New Testament was written to deal with this issue (See Galatians). Much of the book of Hebrews addresses the superiority of the New Covenant over the Old Covenant. Yet, we still deal with the same arguments today.
For me, it is simple. I will even use a verse most Hebrew Movement advocates often turn to in order to argue that Christians have to obey the Old Covenant Laws and keep the Commandments:
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.” (Matthew 5:17-18) Jesus Christ being under the Hebrew Old Testament.
It could not be any more clear. Absolutely nothing in the Law will disappear until everything is accomplished. In order to demonstrate that “everything is accomplished,” all we need to do is demonstrate that something from the Law has disappeared. Is there something that has disappeared? Yes! What? The sacrificial system!
The Old Covenant sacrificial system is no longer in effect, and it was a major aspect of the Old Covenant Law. Not even the most ardent defender of the Hebrew Movement will argue that God still wants us to be offering animal sacrifices today. So, if the Old Covenant sacrificial system has “disappeared,” what does that mean? It means, according to ( Matthew 5:17-18 ), that “everything is accomplished in the Lord Jesus Christ.”
If “everything is accomplished,” what does that mean? It means that the Old Covenant Law has been fulfilled. How was it fulfilled? It was fulfilled by Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ lived a life of perfect obedience to both the letter and the spirit of the Old Covenant Law. Jesus Christ died to fulfill the Old Covenant sacrificial system. Jesus fulfilled/completed the entirety of the Old Covenant Law. Therefore, followers of Jesus Christ, those who have accepted by grace through faith His death and resurrection as the atoning sacrifice for their sins, are not under the authority of the Old Covenant Law.
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” ( Romans 10:4 ) in all of your learning get understanding.
“So then, the law was Jews guardian until Christ came, in order that they might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, Jews or Hebrews are no longer under a guardian.” ( Galatians 3:24-25 ).
“…by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances…” (Ephesians 2:15)
It is not complicated. Jesus Christ fulfilled All of the Law. The Old Covenant has been fulfilled. Observance of the Old Covenant Law is not a requirement, or even a recommendation, for New Covenant Believers.
Now, if you want to observe the Old Covenant feasts and festivals in remembrance of the fact that Christ perfectly fulfilled them, Wrong! If you even want to attempt to live under the Old Covenant Law, there is sinful in the New Covenant that grace would prevent you from doing so. You would not be free in the Lord Jesus Christ, you would be cursed.
But, I still have no idea why anyone would want to exchange what is described in Hebrews 8—10 as “more excellent,” “with better promises,” and “greater and more perfect,” in order to live under what is described as “a shadow,” and “obsolete to the Hebrew or Jewish Believers. let His Churches reply by writing. Amen.”
