Senior Apostle James R. Winfree Sr. leads a dynamic, non-traditional global ministry conducted entirely through digital platforms. By intentionally moving away from brick-and-mortar church models, he focuses on an expansive social media reach to connect with believers worldwide. Regarding his personal life, he has been married to Betty R. Winfree since 1978. God has blessed their union with four children—Tarsha, James Jr., Jeremiah, and Benjamin—and three cherished grandchildren: Christopher, Kaliya, and Nylah.

Roots: Born to Mr. Otis Winfree Sr. and Mrs. Gladys Winfree in the community of Smith-Addition in Houston, Texas, I was raised in a large, close-knit household alongside my eight brothers and nine sisters.
Spiritual Roots: My spiritual journey began at age 13 when I joined the First Missionary Baptist Church. I frequented various regional houses of worship, including Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and my first mentor, spiritual biblical teacher & Prayer Warrior, the late, great Elect Woman Florence Moss of Baytown, Texas, eventually ministered on Christian television and radio. At the Jesus Christ Holy Temple, where I accepted my ministerial calling. I was blessed to be mentored by Evangelist Herman Hall of the U.P.C. Fellowship, as well as many other esteemed Elders, including Robert William "R. W." Schambach, an American Pentecostal Evangelist, televangelist, author, and faith healer; Pastor J.M. Bolden ( Church of God in Christ); Elder Ross (House of God, Los Angeles); Apostle Archie Hayward ( Refuge Temple, Houston); and Presiding Bishop T.D. Jake's ( The Potter's House, Dallas ). I also hold an Elder's Ordination License and completed my training with The Potter House Ministries under the leadership of Founding and Senior Pastor Bishop T.D.Jakes & Dr. Jerry L. Edmondson of Katy, Texas, the Fellowship Ministries.

 
Core Ministry Beliefs and "The Church Established on the Rock"
Apostle Winfree advocates for a modern, digital-first spiritual model that moves beyond traditional denominational structures. His core tenets include:
*   Anti-Physical Church Stance: He emphasizes that the Kingdom of God is not found in physical brick-and-mortar buildings. His ministry rejects the financial burden of maintaining such structures, viewing them as non-biblical to the spiritual mission.
*   The Living Church: He teaches that every Believer is a "Living Temple" of God. Consequently, active fellowship is found through spiritual connection and meeting the practical needs of the Saints, rather than through attendance at traditional religious services.
* Love & Grace & Faith-Centered Ministry: His teachings prioritize personal relationship with the Lord God Jesus Christ, unity, and mercy. By focusing on the love & grace and blood of Jesus Christ, he encourages followers to move away from rigid religious legalism and instead cultivate internal peace and a direct relationship with the Lord God & Blessed Savior Jesus Christ.
