It's Family Time In God's Kingdom!
"One of the most loving blessings of being in

is that the results of the choices
we make together now will echo and
make changes now and throughout
time and eternity!"
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. - 2 Corinthians 3:17
Prayer: What do I say to a God who loves us so completely in spite of all we do and still chooses to express Himself through us – His surrendered ones? I cant find the words, but I take comfort knowing that You know my every thought and feeling.
This morning my King, Your Presence is very near. As I often do, I look for You as I begin any time of prayer – and as I settle myself into the comfort of this reality, I am consumed with peace and joy. I know You are in the process of transforming every fiber of my being. There is nothing about me that You haven't spoken into. Your Holy Spirit's presence in my life has given me a freedom I have never known before – and I am grateful.
Knowing that all I desire is to serve You and to listen and obey Your call, has given me a measure of peace I've never experienced before. Where there once was confusion, I am now finding clarity of vision that is new to me. I thank You that just recently, when a very clear attack came my way, I was able to turn that evil to good – and learn from the experience.
Over and over I hear You remind me that I am more than a conqueror. I have Your power available to me – no matter what my circumstances. As I have learned to war against the evil, learn from the experience and grab on to the good, I have changed. What would have once harmed me You now use to help me help others. I no longer feel as if I am somehow locked up in a dark place, but instead I now live in real freedom.
How do I thank You for the spiritual authority You give us as believers? How do I express my gratitude for my dependence on Your ability to accomplish Your will through me? So many times I have stood at the crossroads knowing that I could go down any number of paths. I remember standing there screaming out for Your Holy Spirit to shine His light on the correct path -- and soon found myself on the journey of a lifetime that continues to this day.
Never in all of my experiences with You have I felt condemnation – conviction yes, challenges, yes – but never condemnation. As You set me free to minister, You kept revealing Your secrets to me. You have made it possible for me to live in hope and joy. You have given me a passion for You and for Your people that I really don’t understand fully – but it is as real as it gets.
Help me I cry today to be a vessel You use to “set the captives free.” All around me I see people who are caught up in fears and disappointments – and I know You desire to free them and use them. You died to set them free -- and I know You can help anyone overcome the past issues of their lives that brought harm. You hold out Your hand of comfort and hope and You grant us Your grace and mercy in proportion to our need.
With every fiber of my being, I know You have greatness planned for anyone willing to call You Lord and allow You to direct and guide their path. I join in agreement with the Holy Spirit to deliver anyone praying this prayer from bondage. I pray they will learn to walk in faith, trusting in You – and that they will learn to listen and obey that “still small voice” within. I pray all my brothers and sisters with whom I work will allow the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth (John 16: 23).
I know from experience that there are areas of my hidden heart that only the Holy Spirit sees and understands -- so I choose to trust Him to save me from myself. I place all who pray this prayer at the foot of Your cross, and I ask You Holy Spirit to help them lay down whatever is troubling them and trust You for the path to real freedom. I know our human hearts are deceptive, but I also know that is why You gave us the Holy Spirit to help us. Only He can show us our true condition – and as we submit to His loving guidance, He will heal our wounds and help us to move forward in His power.
Nothing is impossible for You my King – nothing. Help us all to value hearing from the Holy Spirit as a primary need – more necessary than food or water to our survival. Take us from the grip of the earth – and move us into the potential of eternity – right here, right now. To You my King be all the honor and glory!
Reflect: In a study I did not too long ago on the role of the Holy Spirit in my life, I learned that Jesus Christ lived in constant communication with the Holy Spirit. His miracles came through that power -- and Jesus’ ability to see where God was working, came through that dependency. That was an eye opener for me. I came to learn that everything pales in comparison with seeing God at work and doing what He is doing. I would encourage you to pray often to the Holy Spirit asking Him to help you see beyond Your own circumstances and allow Him to lift you up into the eternal realm where His reality becomes your reality. Its a process, and it takes a deep level of understanding the role of the Holy Spirit – but its worth the investment of time, prayer and study. I would also encourage you to start by asking the Holy Spirit to give you a heads up warning when there is something of eternal significance happening around you. Search for the Holy Spirit; trust Him because Satan cannot deceive Him – as He can us.
