IS YESHUA JESUS GOD?
IS YESHUA JESUS GOD?
To The Church Of Our Lord God Jesus Christ As Your Brother And The Apostle Too All Nations, I Speak In One And As One For You And To You Life, Health And Prosperity In The Lord Jesus Christ!
Greetings In The Wonderful Loving Name Of Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ:
Is Jesus The Father God?
When Jesus was here on the earth, about two thousand years ago, He was born as any man would be, but He was actually GOD HIMSELF wrapped up in human flesh. Many could not see His divinity, because of His humanity. Still others saw the power He possessed and the miracles He worked, yet they did not accept Him as the Messiah, the promised Savior of the world. What they were actually looking for was a deliverer to remove the oppression of Rome from their backs. My purpose in writing this is to show that the blindness that many Jews had in Jesus’ day is very similar to the blindness that many Christians have today.
To see the blindness the Jews, we need to go back to the book of beginnings. After tempting Adam and Eve, GOD said to the devil, “Because you have done this, cursed are you among all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. I will put enmity (hostility) between you and the woman and between your offspring (seed) and her offspring; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel." (Genesis 3:14-15). We see clearly here the promise that some day a human would be born that would victoriously oppose the devil.
In Genesis 9:8-9 we once again see GOD mention the promised seed and tell Noah and his sons that the seed will come from one of their children. "Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him, 'Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring (seed).'" And yet again in Genesis 17:7 we see the same promise is extended to Abraham and the seed is mentioned, “And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your offspring (seed) after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring (seed) after you”. Also, Genesis 17:19 says, "God said, “No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him." And as a proof that the promised seed is not speaking of all the biological offspring of Abraham, we see in Genesis 21:12 it says, “But God said to Abraham, 'Be not displeased because of the boy and because of your slave woman... for through Isaac shall your offspring be named. And in your seed with all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice.'" (Genesis 22:18).
Even though the promised seed is mentioned throughout the Bible nowhere is the definition of this person more evident than in the Psalms and in the writings of the Prophets. Psalm 2 is one such Messianic Psalm. In this passage the seed is called anointed, a king and the begotten Son of God. Psalm 22 shows the suffering of the righteous seed that is a part of a future generation. Psalm 45 speaks of the coming king and his great glory. Psalm 72 speaks of the dominion of the coming king as does Psalm 110.
Of the prophets, Isaiah seems to have the most to say about the Messiah. In chapter 7, He is called Immanuel, and we are told that he would be the son of a virgin. And in Chapter 9, He is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace.
By the time Jesus came to Earth every Jewish person was well versed in the promises of the coming Messiah as the Conquering King, but few kept in mind the promise of His suffering and His passion. So when He appeared, they did not recognize Him. What is even worse they did not want Him. They only wanted the Great King, the promised Son of David who would restore the Kingdom of Israel. This is the blindness of the Jews. They refuse to see that Jesus is the Christ. They refuse to see and recognize their Messiah who came to suffer and die for their sin.
The blindness of many who call themselves Christians is that they only see Jesus as the Suffering Savior. Their thoughts when the name of Jesus is mentioned is either of a baby, laying in a manger, a man battered and bruised on a cross or man walking around in flowing robes, smiling at everyone. The fact of the matter is that Jesus’ sole purpose for coming to earth was not to die for your or anyone else’s sin. How prideful and presumptuous we are for thinking that way.
Jesus, in his own words, said why He came. In John 18:37, "Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” Along the same line Jesus said in Luke 4:43, "but He said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.”
Yes, Jesus did die for the sins of the whole world. Yes, Jesus is the Lamb of God, slain before the foundation of the earth. However, He came to glorify His Father and to be glorified by His Father as it states in John 17:1. His death and resurrection were a crucial part of the plan of GOD and were tasks for Him, the prophesied Messiah, to accomplish. These were neither the beginning nor the end of His purpose and the work that GOD sent him to do. This, I believe, is the blindness of Christians today. All that many Christians are willing to see today is Jesus as their Savior. Many only accept Him only as some sort of “fire insurance”. They see Jesus as a “get out of hell free card”. They reject Him as their Lord and Master. They do what they want to do and say what they want to say and go where they want to go, all with no thought of GOD’s righteous requirements or His desire for their lives.
What every person needs to know is that their perspective matters greatly. Everyone needs to see Jesus for who He really is, and not just for who they want Him to be. The Jew is looking forward to the coming Messiah, The King and Son of David, but they need to see that He has already come as the suffering servant. "...lowly on the foal of a donkey..." as it says in Zechariah 9:9. He has already come, and your Redeemer lives. The Christian is looking back at the cross, or at the little baby in the manger. I want you to know, He is not on the cross anymore. He died once and for all. Your Savior is risen, and He has ascended to heaven where He sits in power and great glory with His Father, and is surrounded by armies of angels.
We all need to now look forward to the returning King. We need to behold His majesty and submit to His rule. Jesus is coming with tens thousands of His saints and the armies of heaven. His power and glory will fill the earth. He will subdue kings and kingdoms, rulers and nations. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus the Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father, as it says in Philippians 2:10, Romans 14:11 and Isaiah 45:23.
You have a chance. Submit yourself to God. Humble yourself before Him or you will be humbled and brought low in His awesome presence. The choice is yours, but not for long. Repent now, because now is the favorable time, now is the day of salvation. For as it says in 2 Corinthians, "I have heard you in an acceptable time, now is the day of salvation." I am telling you that the acceptable time to repent is now, according to Luke 4:18 and Isaiah 61:2.
Amen Church Amen
Your servant and the Nations apostle"
